PRESENTATION: IndigenizeSNAC Edit-a-thon Recap and more!

This presentation from the 2022 SNAC Annual Meeting provides a recap of the Indigenous SNAC Edit-a-thon! The edit-a-thon was privileged to have 18 Indigenous participants out of roughly 64 total participants, who all worked on about 50 different SNAC entries! The editorial guide was used and feedback shows that there are concerns and challenges to Indigenous descriptions when it comes to language and “locations” or “nationalities” as these may differ from colonial records.
