Part of our work focuses on creating deliverables for the promotion and expansion of SNAC research potential for Indigenous users, and members of our team play key roles in SNAC governance and upkeep within the Indigenous Description Group and beyond.
Another large part of our work is contributing to academia and public scholarship. Since 2022, members of our team have: Authored 3 professional publications; Developed 1 editorial manual on Indigenous description; Participated in panels or presented at 15 national symposia and conferences; Lead 9 public training sessions in the form of edit-a-thons, SNACSchool and workshops; Lead 11 private/local training sessions in the form of edit-a-thons, SNACSchool and workshops.
